My name is Sarah Schminke. I am currently in my third year at the University of Iowa majoring in Communication Studies, minoring in Rhetoric and Persuasion, and getting a certificate in Event Management. I am expected to graduate in May 2023.

I held the position as the Public Relations Director for the University of Iowa Dance Marathon this past year I still enjoy being a very active member of the organization and raising money for kiddos with cancer.

I currently work as an Event and Banquet Captain at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel where I am able to help execute the best events for our guests.

I have a passion for helping others and seeing them happy. I have come to love event management and thoroughly enjoy watching these events succeed.
